Our client, a highly successful fin-tech company, is seeking a Programmer Analyst skilled in either PYTHON or PERL and SQL who will develop applications to support internal business and compliance units.

This Business Programmer Analyst will work closely with business managers, legal and compliance specialists to develop Web-based tools and micro services which support the needs of this global fin-tech business.  Will work extensively with databases and SQL querying and extracting/ manipulating data.  Strong analytical skills required to review and solve business and technical issues and develop best approaches for web-tools and other solutions.  Will have responsibility for projects from inception to completion.  Should be open to learning new technologies and additional programming languages (R, Ruby, GoLang).


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Computer Science, Math, Data Science or similar technical field (mandatory)

  • Good programming skills in either Python OR Perl.

  • Experience with JavaScript and other web technologies

  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix command line and text editors highly desired

  • Experience SQL, databases and data structures and algorithms desired

  • Experience with version control and git preferred

  • Willingness to learn new technologies to best support the needs of various business groups.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

           These Skills are a plus:

  • Understanding of Test-Driven Development or Clean Code methodologies

  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
